The story of the Silent Gibbons Twins is a story that at first, seems to be filled with mysticism and of an other worldly nature but listening to the story from June Gibbons it's a story about a pair of sisters who felt as if they had no one on their side except each other. They were misunderstood (both literally and metaphorically) and punished unfairly for it. I think this story is one to keep in mind in the current conversations of mental health within the black community.
